Meet the Team

Anita Smith

Anita is a Clinical Psychologist who brings a down-to-earth, compassionate, and refreshingly real approach to therapy. She believes the therapy space should feel human, somewhere you can laugh, cry, swear a little (if needed), and gently explore new ways of relating to yourself and others.

She knows there’s no “one-size-fits-all” in therapy, so she tailors each session to you (not the other way around). Anita draws on a range of evidence-based approaches and brings extensive experience in workers’ compensation and insurance matters, including assessment, treatment, reporting, and medico-legal evaluations.

Alongside her clinical work, Anita has delivered tailored trauma training across various organisations and departments. She also facilitates at EMDR training programs and provides EMDR consultation to clinicians, both individually and in group settings, supporting the next wave of trauma-informed practitioners.

Her clinical passions lie in supporting people through trauma, PTSD, grief, and anxiety, and she brings both depth and steadiness to this work. Anita is also an EMDR Consultant with the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA), a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and a Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor.

Outside the therapy room, you’ll likely find Anita swimming at the beach all year round with her dog (rain, wind, or shine) which probably tells you a lot about her approach: show up, stay steady, and keep moving forward.

Anita works across both labs - North Fremantle on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and West Perth on Tuesdays, bringing the same warmth, expertise, and grounded presence to each space.

Meg Waters

Meg is a warm, experienced Clinical Psychologist who works with adults (18+) across assessment, report writing and therapy. She has extensive experience working within workers’ compensation and insurance systems, including medico-legal assessment, treatment and report writing, and has worked across private practice, forensic settings and as a school psychologist. She brings this broad and practical experience into her work, alongside particular interests in trauma, anxiety and supporting parents navigating complex family dynamics.

She is known for her genuine, down-to-earth style and her ability to help people feel comfortable quickly. Meg believes therapy works best when it feels collaborative, human and safe, and prioritises building a strong therapeutic relationship from the very first session. Her approach is warm, non-judgemental and thoughtfully direct, creating a space where people can talk openly about the messy and complicated parts of life, while also gently and honestly exploring the patterns that may be keeping them stuck.

Her work draws on a range of evidence-based approaches including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with treatment adapted for each person, not the other way around.

Outside of work, Meg’s life is happily complicated by her two dogs, Alan and Lynn, who are a constant source of entertainment and chaos. She also spends a questionable amount of time in op shops and has a long-standing commitment to pop culture.

Meg is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), an EMDR Accredited Practitioner, and an AHPRA-approved Clinical Supervisor. She also works as a Clinical Supervisor at The University of Notre Dame Australia, and is the Clinical Lead of the West Perth office.

Meg works from West Perth Monday to Thursday and consults from the North Fremantle office on Fridays, alongside her unofficial role as the office plant waterer (a role she takes surprisingly seriously).

Will Lutton

Will is authentic, warm, and down-to-earth. He knows that life’s challenges can leave people feeling adrift, like a passenger rather than the one steering. His focus is on helping clients reconnect with their own strength and direction, so they can navigate life with greater steadiness and clarity.

He offers a safe base for those working through mental health challenges with particular interest in working with those experiencing trauma, depression, or relationship challenges. His style is gentle, practical, and collaborative, creating space where clients feel supported and understood.

Drawing on evidence-based approaches including EMDR, CBT, Schema Therapy, and ACT, Will adapts therapy to fit each person, not the other way around. His aim is to make therapy a genuine place of growth, balance, and recovery.

Away from work, Will often finds himself by the Ocean and when on land he is up for a run, a boxing session, or laughing at a ridiculous comedy. He brings the same mix of steadiness and humour into his work, helping people feel both safe and at ease. Afterwards, he’s usually relaxing with some kind of baked treats and is happy to share his recommendations with clients, especially if he is on that sugar rush!

Will believes that while life can sometimes feel like swimming against the sea, genuine support can help us safely reach the shore.

Will is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA). He responds to all enquiries within 48 hours.

Will works out of our West Perth office on Monday to Wednesday, and our North Fremantle office Thursday to Saturday.
